Green Care Forest Farming
Green Care Forest Farming is a cooperation between the Department of Health and Social Services in Gaular Municipality and "Kårstad bruk" - Kaarstad Farm.
Four days a week, young people and adults with mental and physical disabilities come to Kaarstad for working/training and physical activity. The outdoor activities are connected to the farm's greenery production.
Forest farming means harvesting branches for greenery production, planting and maintaining christmas trees and making wooden handicrafts. In addition, feeding and caring for the animals at the farm is an important part of the work.
Our vision is that the clients will achieve greater knowledge about and feel closer to the nature after working at Kaarstad Farm.
